Why The Dead Sea Is So Amazing

Oludeniz literary means “dead sea”. It is located in the Mugla province of the Fethiye region in the Gulf of Fethiye. Otherwise referred to as the “Blue Lagoon” is perhaps one of the most photographed beaches in Southern Turkey – and not to mention very picturesque. The waters are known to be dead still even during the storms. Boats are not permitted to enter the lagoon and gulets anchor just outside of the region. Gulet blue cruise guests swim or take a canoe to this amazing beach.

One other feature of the region is paragliding which is available off Mt. Babadag from about 1900 meters high.

Oludeniz is a natural reserve and therefore building is not permitted. According to wikipedia, it is rated among the top 5 beaches in the world. The waters are famed for its many shades of blue and turquoise – perfect conditions for scuba diving and snorkeling.
